Web Page Editing

The built-in content editor in The Turnkey WebsiteTM has been designed with simplicity and usability in mind. The content editor enables users to create web pages by typing in plain English; no html, tags or coding are required. The content editor is a WYSIWYG editor (What you see is what you get) to minimize the fitting, formatting and fumbling needed to get things where you want them on a web page. Of course, more sophisticated users need only press the "View Source" button to see the formatting in the language of the web.

The built in content editor works like a mini-word processor, a much simpler version of Microsoft Word or WordPerfect. Users can select from a list of web-friendly fonts, formatting and colors. You can add pictures, lists, hypertext links, animations and tables. It can be used with a screen reader and offers assistive key combinations for people with disabilities. There is even a built-in spell checker.

The Turnkey WebsiteTM includes a "Cheat Sheet" next to the content editor that explains the function of each button. Remember, our goal is to "Keep it Simple."

Additionally, the Turnkey Website is relatively unique in that i includes RBAC: Role-Based Access Control. In Plain English, this means that you can create a web page or a set of web pages and assign them to other people to edit. You can also limit their access to other parts of the site, including the site administration, so that they are only authorized to edit the web pages that you specify. RBAC makes it easy to enlis thte help of a business team of volunteers when updating and maintaining your website.
